NYC Tech Week 2026 (June 1–7) has more than a thousand events across the city. These are the ones worth making time for.
NY Tech Week is back in New York from June 1–7, 2026, presented by a16z. The official calendar has too many events to possibly attend in a single week.
We narrowed it down to ten picks we think you won't want to miss. Not every event is open invite, so you may need to apply to attend. We left off side events, partner conferences, and anything without a published host or speaker, even when the topic looked interesting.
1. Official Tech Week Kickoff Party, hosted by Gamma x a16z
Monday, June 1 · 6:30 PM · Lower East Side Host: a16z, Gamma
The official Tech Week kickoff. Gamma, one of the breakout AI productivity companies of the last 18 months, co-hosts with a16z. Expect a mix of speedrun-backed founders, a16z partners, and Gamma's product team. If you're going to do one thing on Monday, this is the one.
2. Anthropic Founder Salon: Inside the AI-Native Era
Wednesday, June 3 · 1:30 PM · Chelsea Host: Anthropic
Anthropic's main event of the week sits on the official AI + Infra track. It is a small, on-record conversation about what stronger models mean for early-stage companies. If you only do one AI lab event during Tech Week, this is it.
3. OpenAI Builder Lounge
Thursday, June 4 · 2:00 PM · SoHo Host: OpenAI
OpenAI's official Tech Week event is a working builder lounge, not a panel. The OpenAI team is in the room and accessible for the afternoon. RSVPs are heavily filtered; write a real builder note when you apply.
4. Stripe x a16z Supper Club
Monday, June 1 · 6:00 PM · SoHo Host: Stripe
One of the most coveted RSVPs of the week. This is a small, seated dinner co-hosted by Stripe and a16z, drawing fintech and AI founders in roughly equal measure. The Stripe team uses these dinners to meet the next cohort of API-native companies. It is where a lot of payments-meets-AI partnerships get started.
5. Google for Startups: Latest from Google DeepMind
Wednesday, June 3 · 9:00 AM · Chelsea Host: Google for Startups
DeepMind researchers walk through the latest model and agent capabilities, with practical implications for early-stage builders. It is part of Google for Startups' full-day Hub at Tech Week, a series of back-to-back AI talks all day Wednesday in Chelsea. Also look at "The Architecture of Failure" 401-level masterclass on AI Agents and "Building agentic experiences on the frontier: Learnings from Google Antigravity" later the same day.
6. a16z speedrun AI Faire
Friday, June 5 · 11:00 AM · Midtown Host: a16z speedrun, Orrick
a16z speedrun is the firm's tech-and-entertainment accelerator, and the AI Faire is its public anchor during NYC Tech Week. Expect a demo-heavy afternoon of speedrun-backed AI and entertainment companies showing their work, with a16z partners working the room. Pair it with a16z speedrun Pitch Day on Monday, June 1 at 4:00 PM in SoHo for the full a16z early-stage track.
7. ElevenLabs: Live from NY
Thursday, June 4 · 6:00 PM · SoHo Host: ElevenLabs
ElevenLabs is one of the few audio AI companies that has actually scaled, and they do not run many official East Coast events. This is one of them. Expect live demos of newer voice and audio-agent products, plus the ElevenLabs research team taking questions.
8. Operating MCP, Dell Technologies Capital + NVIDIA
Monday, June 1 · 4:00 PM · Midtown Host: Dell Technologies Capital, NVIDIA
A technical session on operating the Model Context Protocol in production. This is the right room for infra engineers, agent-platform builders, and anyone thinking about how multi-tool agent systems run at scale. NVIDIA's developer-relations team is co-presenting, and Dell Capital's portfolio companies are in the audience.
9. Founder Fireside w/ Partiful x a16z
Wednesday, June 3 · 5:00 PM · SoHo Host: a16z, Partiful
A founder conversation from Partiful and a16z, useful if you care about consumer social, event networks, and what it takes to make an invite product feel alive. Partiful has become part of the operating system for NYC gatherings, and a16z should make the room more founder-heavy than a normal mixer.
10. Scale AI: Human in the Loop LIVE
Wednesday, June 3 · 6:00 PM · Chelsea Host: Scale AI
Scale AI's main NYC event of the week is a live recording of "Human in the Loop" with researchers and operators discussing post-training, evals, and the unglamorous work of making frontier models actually usable. The audience is a particularly high concentration of applied AI engineers.
